The Idea behind making this sample pack was simple. To make your life much easier and make your studio sessions more creative. I did the work so you wont have to. As we all know, that mixing and designing drums are the most difficult parts of building a psytrance track. When we enter the studio, we have a lot of creative ideas flowing through our head, but unfortunately they get lost in the process of building a proper drum groove for the track.

We spend countless hours looking for the perfect kick and making the bass that goes well with it. Mix them cohesively and make sure they don't have any phasing issues. After that we need a proper drum groove that involves layering some closed hats, open hats, a nice clap or a snare and some top loops that work in harmony with each other. Which we all know can be very tedious. But is essential to have a solid and full groove as heard in chard topping psytrance tracks from the best producers in the game.

This sample pack has everything that you would require to build a proper drum groove.. FASTER THAN EVER.

Groove Ascension Vol. 1 has 2 parts. First, you have a sample pack folder that contains 145 BPM loops for each groove element. (Full specifications mentioned below). Second part, is the Groove Templates Folder. This folder has 10 Full Groove Templates / Kits. + 1 Bonus Groove Kit.

PART 2 - GROOVE TEMPLATES / KITS

Along with the sample pack folder, you have the second folder - Groove Templates

Each Groove Template is labelled with Key and BPM. Within each kit, you have a kick, bass loop, some closed hats, open hats, claps and top loops + Crash, Sweeps and Risers. Everything mixed in context with each other to work as a cohesive drum kit. Kicks and basses in these kits are designed and mixed very carefully, phase aligned with each other and has the perfect balance. Everything is processed precisely using an RME interface, Digicheck, on a 3 way Hedd Type-20 Professional Studio monitors and in an acoustically treated studio environment.

Your only job will be to choose a kit and drag all the stems from the kit folder into your daw and just get started with the creative process of building your track. I have included a demo of each kit in the respective folder that will allow you to preview the groove kit before hand. Therefore this will help even the producers without a well treated studio, to get the best possible drums stems for their productions and can enjoy the creative process without struggling to mix your kick and bass, hi-hats, top loops and snares.

However, if you would want to replace any element in any of these 11 kits. You have the possibility to do so by just going into the sample pack folder which includes enough groove elements to even finish a full album.

For Ableton Live Users, I have something even more special for you. You can choose to opt for the Version 2 of this pack, that contains everything mentioned above in .wav + 12 Ableton live Project Files used to make these groove kits.

11 projects are for each corresponding groove kit, and 1 project file that I used to make the 5 min demo for the track. It will enable you to see how exactly I go about processing the drums , balance them and Arrange them. You will also have an insight on how exactly I made those basses with single shot bass sounds into full flowing groovy bass loops.

If you work with Ableton Live, it cannot get better than this. Just load up the Ableton project and get working. Please refer the screenshots below and have a look for yourself why this will be beneficial for you.
